Outstanding Activities

• Natyabhumi participated in the Drama festival held at Dhaka, Jamalpur (Bangladesh), organised by Udichi Silpi Goshthi in the year 1997.

• Organised a 7 day theatre workshop on the occasion of Birth Centenary of Bertolt Brecht in the year 1998.

• Organised Sympocium on Brecht in the year 1998.

• Participated in the theatre festival at Munshiganj & Moulavi Bazar, Bangladesh organised by the “Manu Theatre” in the year 2000.

• Participated in the 17^th National Theatre Festival organised by the Nandikar, Kolkata in 2000.

• Participated in the 6^th South-Asian Theatre Festival organised by the Kalyani Natya Chakra, West Bengal in the year 2000.

• Participated in the “Natyatsav” organised by Burdwan Jilla Parishad, Burdwan, West Bengal in the year 2000.

• Participated in the International theatre Festival organised by the “Nagarik Natyagan” at Dhaka, Bangladesh in December, 2003.

• Participated in the “Theatre Festival of Eastern India” organised by the E.Z.C.C. and Cultural Department, Govt. of Assam at Guwahati on Feb’2004.

• Participated in the “International Bengali Theatre Festival” organised by “Aneek” Kolkata held at Kolkata on 24-31^st December ’04.

• Participated in Silver Jubliee festival of Uttal of Siliguri, West Bengal.

• Participated in the International Ibsen Festival in Kathmandu, Nepal organised by Arohan and Gurukul School of Theatre in 2006.

• Organise “Chandan Sengupta Theatre festival” in every alternate year since 1994. 6^th bi-anneal festival held in January 2004. In this festival internationally acclaimed Theatre personalities like Ratan Thiyam, H. Kanhailal, Swatilekha Sengupta, Goutam Halder, Naredra Bhuiya, Kumar Roy, (India), Nasiruddin Yusuf, Sunil Pokhrel (Nepal), have participated in the previos festivals with their best productions.

• In the last three festivals “Sangeet Natak Academi”, New Delhi came forward in sponsoring teams.

• Organised month-long intensive theatre workshop in collaboration with National School of Drama, New Delhi at Agartala in August 2007.

• Participated in the Theatre festival in Halisahar and Batanagar (West Bengal) in 2004.

• Participated in the multi lingual Theatre Festival organised by E.Z.C.C. in Kolkata in 2004
